Description

AHA Heartsaver CPR AED teaches non-healthcare rescuers how to perform CPR and use an AED safely and effectively until professional responders arrive.

Who it is meant for

Members of the general public, workplace teams, teachers, coaches, caregivers, parents, students, and community members with little or no medical training.

Prerequisites

No healthcare background is required. Students should choose Heartsaver CPR AED when they need public, workplace, school, or community CPR/AED training rather than provider-level BLS.

AHA Heartsaver CPR AED

Heartsaver CPR AED is meant for people with little or no medical training who want to be prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency at work, school, home, or in the community.

  • Practical emergency response training for workplaces, coaches, teachers, caregivers, and community members
  • Classroom and blended learning with hands-on skills session pathways when scheduled

Course formats

AHA Heartsaver CPR AED may be offered as classroom training, blended learning with a hands-on session, or other flexible AHA delivery options when scheduled.

Completion card

Students who complete all Heartsaver CPR AED course requirements receive an AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card valid for two years.

Public training

This course is designed for non-healthcare students who want CPR and AED training for work, school, caregiving, coaching, or personal preparedness.
